consuming soy protein instead of animal protein significantly reduced not only
cholesterol, but also LDL (bad) cholesterol as well as triglyceride levels.
Asian populations who consume higher amounts of soy than the typical US diet
are known to have a lower incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD).
